ONLINE STUDENT MAGAZINE VOL. 01
The Orient’s Latin root, ortu, means rising. In this day of age that humans have acquired the vaccine for COVID-19, humans should look hopeful in these times. The Orient inspires people to look hopeful, and look for the sun despite the tough times. The Orient Magazine was created during the time of a pandemic. Despite having limitations, students are able to provide meaningful outputs with the goal of informing and entertaining. The Orient magazine is created by BMMA students of batch 2019 under the course of BMMA106: Writing for New Media
As multimedia students, we are motivated to express ideas in an innovative manner. As such, we prefer to find interesting happenings in our lives this, the birth of The Orient. The first issue is expressed by a select few students who share their experience as an artist. There are different ways in which art influences us and the creation of a writing platform provides more room for development and imagination. This magazine encapsulates how we, as students, are striving to dedicate ourselves to our interests. Orienting ourselves to a certain direction allows us to go on in life with a sense of meaning and purpose. While this direction may not be clear at first, the journey begins when we start moving and look for one.
